Vastu Shastra norms to check before moving into a rental home

One of the major factors every homebuyer and tenant looks into prior to decision making is the property’s compliance to Vastu Shastra. And one of the major difficulties faced by tenants is that they are not able to make a lot of changes in the property they reside in, without taking prior approval from its owner. A property that is built and maintained by complying with Vastu principles will have a positive influence on its residents’ lives. Here are some of the important Vastu points that must be checked while taking a rented home:

1. The direction of the house or its facing should be that of the direction you face while going out of the house.
2. Main entrance of the house must be installed in its best direction i.e., north-east, north, east and west.
3. Avoid renting homes that has its entries facing south, south-west and south-east direction.
4. Kitchen should be constructed in the south-west or south-east direction.
5. Racks built in kitchen, toilets or for keeping shoes must not be placed in north-east direction.
6. The shape of the property must be rectangular or square in shape and should not have any extension or cut in any direction.
7. Balconies should not be constructed in the south-west direction.
